SOFITEL MELBOURNE ON COLLINS BRINGS LUXURY AND HISTORY TOGETHER WITH PHARAOH-INSPIRED EXPERIENCES
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins proudly celebrates its long-standing partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), and the 20th anniversary of their Melbourne Winter Masterpieces® series, with a range of offerings themed for the blockbuster Pharaoh exhibition.
Pharaoh takes visitors on a journey through 3000 years of ancient Egyptian art, design, and culture through more than 500 exquisite objects exploring the fascinating lives, myths, and images of ancient Egypt’s all-powerful kings. This is the single largest-ever loan by the British Museum and has been curated exclusively with NGV for Melbourne.
To mark this notable partnership, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins has curated a range of outstanding offers that bring the exhibition to life.
Stephan Leroy, General Manager of Sofitel Melbourne on Collins said, “We are thrilled to be the Tourism Partner of Pharaoh and look forward to inviting guests to stay with us and experience our specially themed Ambassador Suite and curated Pharaoh-themed High Tea.”
Guests can indulge in the Egyptian-themed Ambassador Suite on Level 50, surrounded by décor inspired by the Pharaoh exhibition. The package includes overnight accommodation, access to Club Sofitel for two, luxury Balmain amenities, two tickets to the Pharaoh exhibition, welcome amenities, late check-out and a Pharaoh catalogue. Prices start from $999 per night.
Every Sunday from 1:00–3:00 pm until 15 September, a Pharaoh-inspired buffet high tea will be served in Sofi’s Lounge. You can indulge in a blend of sweet and savoury bites from Tutankhamun’s poached chicken to Ra Sun quiche and cardamom crème brûlée tartlets to aniseed tea cakes. Enjoy a glass of sparkling on arrival and unlimited espresso coffee and tea while being entertained by a live pianist.
Over in The Atrium Bar on 35, you can experience a taste of ancient Egypt, with the Queen Nefertiti – a specially crafted cocktail as elegant and mysterious as the Queen herself.
