IN HER EYES - A Photographic Exhibition by Claire Ropartz04.09.2024

Melbourne-based French photographer Claire Ropartz was delighted to exhibit her new work at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins through In Her Eyes, a photographic exhibition that captured the spirit and grandeur of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This exhibition shone a light on the social aspect of the event by showcasing a collection of compelling and evocative images that shifted the spotlight from the athletes to the enthusiastic spectators who infused the games with passion and energy.

With images of them on their way to a game or congregating at iconic Parisian locations like Place de la Concorde or in front of the Grand Palais, it revealed that the street was where the magic happened.

It also highlighted how the Paris Olympics 2024 had set a significant goal: a 50:50 gender ratio, with women athletes serving as powerful inspirations for young women. Their accomplishments on the field or in the arena instilled confidence, empowerment, guidance and self-belief.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

French photographer Claire Ropartz grew up in Paris and moved to Melbourne in 2008. She developed a love and passion for photography through her travels from a young age and the inspiration provided by her own city of Paris.

Her industry knowledge, Parisian roots, insights into how she saw the world, and eye for detail were reflected in all her artwork. Being worldly and always on an adventure gave Claire the ability to bring the worlds of her hometown cities together.
