Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now playing exclusively in Melbourne at the Princess Theatre.
Melbourne is the third city to welcome the critically acclaimed play following its world premiere in London in July 2016, where it continues to play to sold-out houses, and its New York opening in April 2018.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the most awarded production in the history of Britain’s Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director. The play opened on Broadway in April 2018 and won 6 Tony Awards including Best Play.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The production is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings, although each part can also be seen separately.
Dates: Open from January 2019
