With the recent events happening on a global scale, we would like you to know that Sofitel Melbourne On Collins is operating with a heightened sense of care and responsibility towards our guests and our teams.
In addition to our existing practices under ISO 14001:2015 (an international standard that specifies requirements for food handling as well as environmental protection processes) we are:
Sanitising all dining tables individually with disposable towel after each use, followed by hand hygiene washing and sanitation
Upholding stringent hand sanitising practices in relation to all operations, specifically in delivering food and beverages and clearing tables
Setting tables with crockery only as needed
Distancing tables with appropriate space between them
Holding additional regular staff training and updates
Frequently sanitising high traffic surfaces and areas including doors, toilets, payment facilities and communal areas
Increasing use of single use products where appropriate to reduce risks
Checking Australian Department of Health updates regularly and continuously following official recommendations, particularly in relation to necessary travel and attending the workplace post travel
Consulting with employees in terms of their well-being and maintaining strict policies of attendance that require fit for work approval after any absence
