Mother, model and entrepreneur, Australian-Indonesian princess Lindy Rama-Ellis has had an extraordinary life to date. With her uncle, Ida Cokorde Pamecutan XI, the king of Denpasar, Lindy grew up in a palace before moving to Tasmania with her mother when she was three.
At the age of 20, Lindy began modelling and walked in high-end fashion shows for the likes of Gucci and Chanel. She attended New York Fashion Week in 2008 representing top Australian designer, Toni Maticevski, and continues to be a regular attendee of both Sydney and Melbourne Fashion Weeks
In 2004, Lindy met her future husband, Olympic swimmer Michael Klim, on the catwalk. Marrying Klim in 2006, the couple spent much of their relationship living between Bali and Melbourne and have two daughters and a son. Although the couple divorced, Lindy credits her relationship with Klim for teaching her how to be confident. Later Lindy met and married British property developer, Adam Ellis, with the pair welcoming a daughter in 2017.
Now with four kids herself, Lindy knew a thing or two when it came to women’s intimate care. Sick of the typical taboo connotations associated with the topic, Lindy made it her mission to create a wellness brand that encouraged an open and honest self-care routine. Today sees Lindy as the co-founder of intimate wellness brand, Fig Femme – providing a nurturing range of wellness orientated skincare that supports self-confidence and encourages women to take control of their individual intimate health needs.
The brand which has afforded Lindy plenty of opportunities to put her easy going air into practice – particularly when discussing what has historically been regarded as an extremely contentious and taboo topic. Conversations flow freely of our extensive hair and skincare routines, and beauty secrets that cater from tip-to-toe are shared candidly without concern. Aiding in a sense of empowerment, Lindy aims to normalise the conversations around woman’s intimate-wellness and help foster a self-care culture that’s honest, nurturing and empowering.
As if this mother and business powerhouse doesn’t have enough to keep her busy, Lindy lends support to charities including Brainwave, SIDS, Bali Orphanage, Sumba Foundation and the Witchery (Silver Diary) Ovarian Cancer Campaign. We are also proud to have Lindy represent Sofitel Melbourne On Collins as Brand Ambassador, a role she has shone in over the last three years.
Bravo Lindy Rama-Ellis, you are an inspiration to us all!
